Our Penguin contact Felicity has passed us a newly-uploaded video in which Isobelle talks about her writing, drawing and life with her family in the lead up to the much anticipated sixth book in The Obernewtyn Chronicles, 'The Sending', in her beautiful hometown of Apollo Bay.
You step off the ship, the tall, dark cliffs rising either side of you, and your feet sink into the desert sands of Sador.
As the title states - Isobelle Carmody will be doing a book signing at Fullers Bookshop in Hobart on the 31st of October, at 6pm.
The Children's Book Council of Australia released their award winners for 2011 today, and Isobelle has won the Younger Readers Book of the Year 2011 for The Red Wind!
The Supanova guest list is yet to confirm anyone for their later-this-year Brisbane event (November 4-6 2011), but Isobelle's Appearances List has had an exciting addition to it, confirming what a couple of us have known (and been sworn to secrecy about) for some time; she will be there.
Our Bloomsbury contact Flora would like to announce the arrival of Obernewtyn.co.uk, the Bloomsbury Publishing website dedicated to the Obernewtyn Chronicles, with information about Isobelle and each of the Ober Chron books, plus links and downloads relating to the Chronicles (similar to Penguin AU's Obernewtyn.com.au).
We heard from our lovely Allen & Unwin contacts today with several pieces of very exciting news!
That's right, we have a confirmed date.
We've just had word from Obernetter and Collins bookseller manager, Ethereal, regarding Isobelle's August talk in Bendigo in which she's sent us full details of the event.
