Some of you would have already seen Isobelle Carmody's post yesterday on her Facebook wall where she answered four writing and publishing questions, but for those of you who haven't:
At this year's Melbourne Writers' Festival the Centre for Youth Literature interviewed a bunch of authors about young adult (YA) writing, including Myke Bartlett, AJ Betts, Isobelle Carmody, Cath Crowley, Ellie Marney, Richard Newsome, Alice Pung, Penny Tangey, Carole Wilkinson, Lili Wilkinson, and Claire Zorn.
We were only alerted to its presence yesterday, but this interview is a great one - in which Isobelle discusses The Obernewtyn Chronicles, what inspired her to write it in the first place, writing for YA and children in general, and that she is thinking about adapting The Obernewtyn Chronicles into a TV series one day.
Isobelle Carmody has recently done an interview with David McDonald from Ebon Shores as part of the Australian Spec Fic Snapshot for 2014.
