GMD Competition

Green Monkey Dreams has been called the Holy Grail of Carmody novels. It's her wonderful collection of short stories, published by Penguin in 1996, that is sadly now out of print. Recently, we found an ex-library copy for sale, and nabbed it. Isobelle then kindly autographed it when we caught up with her in Sydney, especially for this competition. Green Monkey Dreams, signed by Isobelle Carmody For your chance to win this autographed copy of Green Monkey Dreams;
In 200 words or less, tell us your weirdest, most memorable dream.
Or, if you are the sort of person who has never remembered their dreams, then explain why you think you don't. Submit your entry via a PM to Elspeth, by the [strike]14th[/strike] 31st October 2009, for a chance to win this special prize. Should you win, it will be shipped to you, at no cost, no matter where in the universe you happen to live :P Judges: will be the MoOs; Ari, Emerald, MK, Min and Tanya. You must have registered with Obernewtyn.net prior to the 1st September 2009 to be eligible to enter this competition, as it is a special gift, for an existing member, not simply someone who signs up for a chance to win it. If you have any questions, please ask in a comment below. And before anyone asks - don't worry about the big "Cancelled" stamp on it (see image to your right); this just means it no longer belongs to the library that initially owned it ;)

    Its weird, I just finished reading this collection this week after several years hiatus. I didn't know it was rare or something, my Auntie just gave all these books to me one time and it was one of them. Of course, I love it

    Sure, you're part of the deadline, your entry will be valid.
    What we're trying to stop with that guideline is people signing up to the site, simply to enter the competition (it's happened before :-/ ).

    Just wondering; it says that to be eligible you must have signed up prior to the 1st of September. I signed up on the 1st of Sept? Am I eligible?
    I am just worried that I will not be able to compete because of 1 day. :-/
