To coincide with the release of The Red Queen this Thursday (!
This morning the ticketing website for The Red Queen Launch Party taking place in Melbourne on the 12th December opened, allowing members of Obernewtyn.net who pre-registered for tickets to secure their place at either the High Tea or Masked Ball event.
That Masked Ball that you've probably heard about that Isobelle Carmody will be putting together to launch The Red Queen and send off the Obernewtyn Chronicles?
Ford Street Publishing are hosting Isobelle Carmody, David Millar and Adam Wallace at the next Keeping Books Alive Seminar.
At this year's Melbourne Writers' Festival the Centre for Youth Literature interviewed a bunch of authors about young adult (YA) writing, including Myke Bartlett, AJ Betts, Isobelle Carmody, Cath Crowley, Ellie Marney, Richard Newsome, Alice Pung, Penny Tangey, Carole Wilkinson, Lili Wilkinson, and Claire Zorn.
Isobelle Carmody will be appearing at schools and festivals from August through to November, in Victoria, Brisbane, ACT, NSW and WA - including both the Melbourne and Brisbane Writers' Festivals, the Big Sky Readers and Writers Festival in Geraldton and Conflux 10 in Canberra.
For the past couple of weeks we've been running a competition to win one of two Wilful Eye prize packs - containing a single day-pass to this Saturday's Melbourne Supanova, and a copy of Isobelle & Nan McNab's collaborative short-story collection that she'll be launching this weekend, The Wilful Eye.
I recently received an email from Isobelle, outlining what looks like will be a couple of busy weeks for her travelling.
