This week, the CBCA (Children's Book Council of Australia) released their shortlist for the upcoming CBCA Book of the year.

There's five categories, each with six titles nominated, and Isobelle Carmody's The Red Wind, released in 2010 and both written and illustrated by Isobelle, has been added to the Younger Readers Short List 2011. Good luck Isobelle and congratulations for making the short list! This isn't Isobelle's first encounter with the Children's Book Council awards - The Gathering was the winner of the CBCA for Older Readers in 1994.
