Oush, I've just realised that I've (subconsciously perhaps?) used the name of this thread for my online showcase. |:(
I suppose this is as good a place as any to post a website-design related query. I was just wondering if any peeps out there with a bit of time could provide feedback on an online showcase I'm compiling (as part of my resume).
the-drawing-board.icegroup.biz.
Main areas of focus:
- the
words. Do I ramble? Or does it get the message across? Any glaring errors?
- the overall design; does it work graphically? Does the name of the site sound okay?
- the interaction. There's a slideshow script I've implemented on the banners page, which I'm not 100% happy with, so I'm open to ideas. The slideshow is different for simple, database sites and print work, which I like a bit better, but has a little trouble in IE8 (how does it work in IE7?).
As is, does it serve it's function? Could anything to do with the navigation and usability of the site be better?
The site is supposed to be an example of my work (not all of it, obviously). Thanks!
