If you have ever done NaNoWriMo and been fine with that then it should be a breeze for you, as it's basically the same word count per day--just a little longer than a month.
I never have lol. I wrote 15 000 words in a month for last time but I was also still at uni and still working on my thesis. and still working casually. I think if I have no uni or job (which I don't from november) I could make myself do it. Especially if I have some lovely people such as yourselves to help prod me along!
Prodding, yes. We are good at that :nods:
Personally I find writing 2,000 words a day pretty easy once I get into a routine of doing it, so if you have nothing else going on, it should be simple enough to fall into one. Getting into writing after not doing so for awhile is generally the hardest part though. :)
I am going to start writing again. If I write it, it has to happen.
It's true! Especially if you write it here!
So, should we haul in the cattle prods immediately, or did you want a chance to try writing without they're 'subtle' encouragement? :D
[act]waves cattleprod about[/act] Of course, she wants encouragement. What's not to like about our encouragement? :D
Whack some more. I am still on a grand total of zero words. Tomorrow better pick up. Damn real life for getting me down in the dumps. It's so hard to resurface again.
[act]charges up the cattleprod[/act] Fine, there had better be a total well above the zero tomorrow (well today) then, or there will be trouble.
Hope those words start rolling in soon. Though, I know how hard it can be to get back into things sometimes.
Write about somebody being depressed and make them cheer up :nods: that worked for me (no comment on when I did that |:| )
Seriously though; that does suck. It's really hard to write when all you want to do is eat cake and watch sitcoms.
... want some cake? :D [act]produces large cake with icing that is not too sweet or two bland[/act]
Sorry, Dweo. I've sometimes found writing to be a distraction when real world is being horrible. Nothing better than entering a fantasy world and immersing yourself in someone else's problems, particularly, when the fantasy world is as intriguing as yours.
Good luck.
Damn it I really wanted to write today but we had painters in redoing our whole house and I got roped into doing it too.
I might try and write something tonight anywway. Who needs sleep?
So? Did you sleep or write? :D
Just wrote 1542 words today. Considering my typing hand is burnt and I am effectively typing one handed, and that I painted again today, I feel like it's a start.
More to come tomorrow and the day after for sure!
My word count is 28 950 words which is kinda... disappointing lol. I need another 50 000 by the end of Febuary!
That's doable. Roughly 1700words per day if you do things by a daily count. Just a matter of getting into a rhythm, good luck ;)
I... am... trying :P
But seriously. I just wrote 1600 words in fourty minutes so I can do this thing.
Well thats a great chunk done. Takes me like two hours to get 1000words down :P
And you'll find there are days when you whip of 3000 without even blinking, giving you the odd day off. Definitely doable. Don't stress!
Just wrote 2700 words o:O If only I could write like this every day!
You don't have to, though! A few days like that, and a few days with less, and you'll reach your goal. Well done!
Just wrote another 1000 words and finished Chapter Nine. Word count is now at 33 000 words.
Nice work! How many chapters are you expecting all up?
Between 25 and 30. I will post chapter nine tomorrow.
Wow, you're on a roll. Share some of that inspiriation would ya? :P
