No worries, I think that's the case for pretty much everyone - you just don't see mistakes the same in your own writing. You're all doing a fantastic job, but the occasional thing does tend to slip through - after all, we're only human! Actually, it would be great if you can check my chapters for me, if that would be possible (ie if you have time)! :)I'm pretty good at editing other people's work but so so good at editing my own.

Summary:
Roland tells Elspeth that he cannot hasten the healing of her feet, and she replies that Kella told her that a warmer climate might help. Roland makes an unexpected joke about healers not being able to change the weather to suit their patient. He then suggests that she stay in her room more, and Elspeth protests that she is mistress of a Guild. Roland points out that Garth (the Teknoguildmaster) has no such problem. Elspeth wonders if Roland knows that she secretly went to see Garth that morning.
Kella enters with a herbal mixture for Elspeth to soak her feet. Kella says the recipe is from the Master of Obernewtyn, and Elspeth smiles at this title for Rushton, thinking back to when they met.
Kella comments on Rushton's delay returning from the Highlands, which leads into a discussion of some newcomers to Obernewtyn and their talk of torture. Kella says that despite Miryum's claim that the end justifies the means, even a coercer could not condone torture.
Elspeth becomes lost in thought about the nature of the different Talents especially those that use deepprobing, and Kella comments on her habit of drifting into a dream, saying that anyone would think she was a futureteller. Elspeth laughs and says it might be good not to be surprised by anything, but Kella replies that she prefers to live in the present.
Matthew then bursts in and says he'd been looking everywhere for Elspeth (who prefers not to make her whereabouts known) because Rushton was back and had called an immediate Guildmerge. As Elspeth gets ready, Matthew wonders aloud about the rumour Rushton had been investigating (the Council establishing a soldierguard camp in the Highlands).
Elspeth suggests it may be gossip, as Highlanders are superstitious folk. She then wonders if anyone will use the meeting to make requests. She considers following through on her meeting with the Teknoguild, especially if the rumours are true, as Rushton might soon suspend all expeditions.
It has been two years since Elspeth's legs were scarred. She looks at the mountains, which protect them, but also somehow disturb her. She then thinks of the events that led to Rushton becoming Master of Obernewtyn, noting that Stephen Seraphim has remained.
Elspeth mentions these events, and Matthew says that sometimes he dreams of Ariel, and wishes he had killed him. He then suggests that they use the Guildmerge to raise the matter of Zarak changing guilds. Zarak has equal Talent in beastspeaking and farseeking, and had Chosen the Beastspeaking Guild, however, he and Lina keep creating trouble.
They enter through Obernewtyn's new doors; Elspeth had asked that the others be burnt. She claimed it was to remove the gold for arm bands for the guildleaders, but it was really to destroy the hidden maps, leading to Beforetime weaponmachines.
Rushton meets them in the entry hall, and sends Matthew to find a futureteller. He tells Elspeth that he thinks the Council is showing a renewed interest in Obernewtyn, and says they need to go to Sutrium to find out what the Council is up to.
