That Girl in the MirrorThat girl in the mirror,
I see it in her eyes,
She’s looking through time,
And wondering why –
She’s the girl,
That cries,
Just to feel,
The tears running down her face.
She hides behind,
The seat belt in a car,
Looking out a darkened window,
To a bright blue sky.
That girl in the mirror,
She hides in my head.
That girl in the mirror,
She haunts me,
With words that were never said.
That girl in the mirror,
I wonder, if I,
Could even save her.
Or is it too late,
To learn how to fly?
Should I even try?
That girl in the mirror,
She sings to me,
Of lost hops, shattered dreams,
And all the things that couldn’t be.
She’s the girl,
That tries to smile,
Just to watch,
Her gaze fade to glass.
She tries to say,
It’s just another phase,
It’ll pass in just,
A little while.
But it’s just another lie.
That girl in the mirror,
She hides in my head.
That girl in the mirror,
She haunts me,
With words that were never said.
That girl in the mirror,
I wonder, if I,
Could even save her.
Or is it too late,
To learn how to fly?
Should I even try?
That girl in the mirror,
I see it in her eyes,
She’s looking back,
At me.
She’s the girl,
Who just realized,
That her eyes,
Running dry.
Now, she wants to believe,
That it all could be true,
As her arms wrap around herself,
She softly whispers “You always knew.â€
That girl in the mirror,
She hides in my head.
That girl in the mirror,
She haunts me,
With words that were never said.
That girl in the mirror,
I wonder, if I,
Could even save her.
Or is it too late,
To learn how to fly?
Should I even try?
I guess it’s never too late,
To learn how to fly.
