Hi Kaede, when I look at your dropdown it says you joined in 2008. Can you post a screenshot?

Not anymore, because now it says 2008 for me as well !dodge Sorry to be a bother :)
Ah well, one of those transient things!

Sounds like something didn't load correctly and it just defaulted to '0' in unix time pretty much. And welcome back Kaede, congrats on finishing your honors :)

Thanks Agyllian! It was a surprisingly enjoyable year! :)
I think as Agy said, sometimes bits of the site fail to load properly or the database connection craps itself for a moment, so you get transient weirdnesses like that. As long as it resolves, that's good. I doubt there's much we can do to stop the odd strange thing happening.

Strange it picks up everything else and doesn't do the time right. Looking at the code it's probably got to do with it converting a certain time value and failing but no idea why it would do that :P.

Was there a loss of some posts in the transfer? I was going to complete my books read list for Reading Challenge 2014, but I can't find the post (I can find the forum though). Its been a while since I was online, but I'm reasonably sure I made one. I'll be off to start my 2015 Reading Challenge post now.
Edit:
After posting in Reading Challenge, I looked at my drop-down profile and I got the 1970 thing too.

I meant to post here last night but ended up in another thread by accident. There shouldn't have been any posts lost when we made the transfer.
Thanks Agyllian. Very odd of me not to have done that at the beginning of last year, but it doesn't really matter now.
*Looking back at lovely bridge built and got over*
Just a heads up that we're upgrading Ober over the next few days (nothing major, just getting the latest bug fixes from the provider). Things may look weird for a while, but just bear with us. If you find anything's broken, don't panic - just let one of us MoOs know and we'll try to work out what's going on.
Thanks in advance :).

Possible bug - after reporting a post (successfully) I was directed to a blank white page?
Agree; it is a bug. I'll report it later today. Thanks for letting us know!

Good morning,
Just reporting that I am unable to post a link in a thread in the Library (the Avatar thread, to be specific).
It didn't like me putting the link in with a pretty title, nor just popping it in - it just seems to link back on itself, to an Ober.net page that is 404 page not found??
What's the link you were pasting in? Did you include the http : // portion - if you exclude that it will try to link to the page on Obernet because it'll think it's a relative link.

This is the text that came up at the top of the page when I tried to post my reply -
HTTP/1.1 200 OK Server: nginx/1.7.9 Date: Wed, 15 Jul 2015 23:29:53 GMT Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8 Content-Length: 126272 Connection: keep-alive Expires: Thu, 19 Nov 1981 08:52:00 GMT Cache-Control: no-store, no-cache, must-revalidate, post-check=0, pre-check=0 Pragma: no-cache ETag: "0dd2910fe94aa2816d2be1f69ef04db5-gzip" X-Powered-By: e107 Vary: Accept-Encoding Set-Cookie: obernewtynnetSID=v6ie63dkp5nasqit263r52con3; expires=Thu, 16-Jul-2015 00:29:53 GMT; Max-Age=3600; path=/e107/; domain=.obernewtyn.net Host-Header: 192fc2e7e50945beb8231a492d6a8024 X-Proxy-Cache: MISS
Does it happen if you post the same link from your home computer?
Because it looks like (for some reason) your work computer is having an issue with obernet's cookies. You could try clearing your cookies on your work computer, and seeing if it works then. But I'm not sure if it happens in one place but not another (there's not much I can do about it).

I finally got it to work, I am pretty sure that it's a work computer issue (they took my administrative powers off me, so I can't even update Flash without asking them to do it for me, and a lot of my plug-in are in need of an update...)
I'll let you know if the problem re-occurs elsewhere :)

Locked down work computers are great for accessing websites! :P -_- (had one of those moments today).
I've been having some difficulties posting. When I have more than one tab open I need to refresh the pages before I can post in the quick reply.
If I don't refresh it just does nothing when I hit the quick reply button.
That's weird, which browser are you using? Could you try a hard refresh, or clearing your cache? It sounds like a JavaScript file has only partially loaded at your side or something.
Same thing seems to happen to me too, not really a big deal, just seems it doesn't like multiple tabs open, and will only accept one posting, before needing to refresh (did try the hard refresh)
