"You go girl!" or "You just a ho girl!"
The entire audience of the Jerry Springer Show
"From now on I'm only going to drink on days beginning with T...Tuesday, Thursday, Today, Tommorrow"
No idea who said that, but it popped into my head! Perhaps it was a friend of mine, perhaps a famous person...ah, it fits, who cares!

Rules:
Look at the most recent quote posted and find another quote that uses one of the same words. It's easiest to follow if you put the word you're using at the top and bold it. You can use quotes from anywhere - poems, novels, songs, plays, movies, speeches... whatever the hell you want.
So anyway, going on from old board with hand...
He's a G0d, he's a man,
he's a ghost, he's a guru
They're whispering his name
through this disappearing land
But hidden in his coat
is a red right hand
Nick Cave 'Red Right Hand'
I was almost going to use the 'red right hand' quote from Milton, but decided to be a bit more contemporary. Plus I think it's very cool that Nick Cave quotes Milton himself.
Lol
Okay I a supposing that we just put Favorite qoutes here so here is mine from the book abarat by Clive Barker which i really enjoy!
"O woe is me!
O woe is me!

You'll not endure him! God shall mend my soul!
You'll make a mutiny among my guests!
You will set c0ck-a-hoop! you'll be the man!"
Lord Capulet-Romeo+Juliet.
And it's a right sweet-looking little polliwiggle you are, with them green eyes and a chin God Himself cupped it in his hand.

I don't know if that counts.
My Favourite quote is from Monty Python and the holy grail:
ARTHUR: Now stand aside, worthy adversary.
BLACK KNIGHT: 'Tis but a scratch.
ARTHUR: A scratch? Your arm's off!
BLACK KNIGHT: No, it isn't.
ARTHUR: Well, what's that then?
BLACK KNIGHT: I've had worse.
ARTHUR: You liar!
BLACK KNIGHT: Come on you pansy!
[hah]
[parry thrust]
[ARTHUR chops the BLACK KNIGHT's right arm off]
ARTHUR: Victory is mine!
[kneeling]
We thank thee Lord, that in thy merc-
[Black Knight kicks Arthur in the head while he is praying]
BLACK KNIGHT: Come on then.
ARTHUR: What?
BLACK KNIGHT: Have at you!
ARTHUR: You are indeed brave, Sir knight, but the fight is mine.
BLACK KNIGHT: Oh, had enough, eh?
ARTHUR: Look, you stupid [censored], you've got no arms left.
BLACK KNIGHT: Yes I have.
ARTHUR: Look!
BLACK KNIGHT: Just a flesh wound.
[Headbutts Arthur in the chest]
ARTHUR: Look, stop that.
BLACK KNIGHT: Chicken! Chicken!
ARTHUR: Look, I'll have your leg. Right!
[whop]
BLACK KNIGHT: Right, I'll do you for that!
ARTHUR: You'll what?
BLACK KNIGHT: Come 'ere!
ARTHUR: What are you going to do, bleed on me?
BLACK KNIGHT: I'm invincible!
ARTHUR: You're a loony.
BLACK KNIGHT: The Black Knight always triumphs! Have at you!
Come on then.
[whop]
[ARTHUR chops the BLACK KNIGHT's other leg off]
BLACK KNIGHT: All right; we'll call it a draw.
ARTHUR: Come, Patsy.
BLACK KNIGHT: Oh, oh, I see, running away then. You yellow
bastards! Come back here and take what's coming to you. I'll bite
your legs off!
and another is:
BEDEMIR: What makes you think she is a witch?
VILLAGER #3: Well, she turned me into a newt.
BEDEMIR: A newt?
VILLAGER #3: I got better.
Me and my friends crack up about it
To lose one parent, Mr Worthing, may be regarded as misfortune; to lose both looks like carelessness.
Oscar Wilde The Importance of Being Earnest
Back to an old favourite. Has anyone seen the movie that came out a few years ago? It did pretty well by the play.

O little one,
My little one,
Come with me,
Your life is done.
Forget the future,
Forget the past.
Life is over:
Breathe your last.
Lullaby sung by Shape when chasing Candy. Abarat.
Scarebaby, Scarebaby,
Where do you run?
Out in the graveyard,
To have some fun?
Dancing with skeletons
Up from the ground?
Doing a jig
On the burial mound?
Scarebaby, Scarebaby,
Horrid you are!
With wings of a bat,
And a face with a scar,
The fangs of a vampire,
The tail of a snake;
You open your mouth
And the noise you make
Is the song the Devil sings,
Bitter and loud.
Tell me, my baby,
Was your mother proud?
Scarebaby, Scarebaby,
Where do you run?
Not out to the morning,
Not out in the sun.
You live in nightmares,
You hide from day;
And there, little-

'the wholly innocent' by Bruce Dawe.
I never walked abroad in air,
I never saw the sky,
Nor knew the sovereign touch of care,
Nor looked into an eye.
I never chose, nor gave assent,
Not voted on my fate-
Unseen I came, unseen I went,
Too early and too late.
Oh you within whose god-like power
It lies to so decide,
Remember me when, some late hour,
Talk turns to genocide,
Remember me the next time you
Rejoice at sun or star-
I would have loved to see them, too.
I never got that far.
hey all! can i play too?? sorry about the heavy political stuff -but i love this poem, even though it was in my english study.
luv lami
Tis a good poem and welcome!
No, I would not want to live in a world without dragons, as I would not want to live in a world without magic, for that is a world without mystery, and that is a world without faith. And that, I fear, for any reasoning, conscious being, would be the cruelest trick of all. --Drizzt Do'Urden (R. A. Salvatore's 'Streams of Silver' Forgotten Realms)
"In fantasy stories we learn to understand the differences of others, we learn compassion for those things we cannot fathom, we learn the importance of keeping our sense of wonder. The strange worlds that exist in the pages of fantastic literature teach us a tolerance of other people and places and engender an openness toward new experience. Fantasy puts the world into perspective in a way that "realistic" literature rarely does. It is not so much an escape from the here-and-now as an expansion of each reader's horizons."
- Jane Yolen
i found this while researching an assignment for a writing class i was doing about 2 years ago and kept it.
When I had visited her, she bared her teeth at me in a snarl, cowering into the Empath guildmaster's arms. Roland and Dameon urged me to persist but, as yet, I had not been able to bring myself to it. Yet I must eventually, I knew, because locked within Dragon's powerful mind was the knowledge I needed to complete my quest
