Okay I had no idea where to put this on the site, so if anyone suggests a better place, go ahead.
But I was just re-reading The Keeping Place today, and guess what line I saw, when Gahltha compliments Elspeth on her outfit for the moonfair.
"You are bright/hot like the sun rising."
I'm sorry, but I could not help but think of the recent advertisement about Rhonda on holiday to Bali, by Aami, and how she is compliment by the employee by saying "you are hot like a sunrise". Does this mean that whoever made this ad, was inspired by this line written by Isobelle Carmody? Maybe it is a longshot, but I just couldn't help myself share this finding.
Have other people found things in OC that surprised you, or made you think of something completely random? I am surprised that in KP that Elspeth is actually said to be washing her hair, and also 'reliving herself', because they are such mundane things, I don't expect to see them in a book too often, but I guess it actually makes things realistic.
