I finally got around to watching Red Dog today.
I loved it! The cinematography, the landscapes- makes me want to travel again.
And the story was good too. Made me want to go visit my dog and give her a big hug.
Has anyone else seen this great Aussie film?
It is one of the most awesome movies I have ever seen!!!!! I loved it! Made me want to move straight out to live in the outback with all the wonderful people. And the story was so sad. I rarely cry during movies, but I shed a few tears along the way.
A friend of ours has a projector he found on hard rubbish which he's set up along with a piece of white fabric stretched over an old trampoline frame out in his backyard. So we watched this movie just before Christmas on a hot summer's day. My dog's a blue heeler, and he was roaming round the yard barking at possums while we watched, which I frankly think improved the atmosphere dramatically. My friends now call my dog Grey Dog, and have promised we'll have a papier mache Grey Dog at the top of my road one day, to mimic the Red Dog statue in the movie :).
I watched it the other day, such an amazing movie! I love it!!! It's one of my favourite movies at the moment. I never cry in movies either, that's always my mum who cries at everything, but I was crying too for once. But, at the same time I was laughing, the good old aussie humour is brilliant! And Red Dog is the most amazing dog I've ever seen (even though it was on TV) you could really see the emotion in his face. I know that sounds odd considering it's a dog, but seriously :nods:
And, we watched it with a Kiwi friend, who absolutely adored it, she bought two more copies, one for herself and sent one back to her family in NZ. And they loved it too, I thought that was pretty awesome :D
