That's terrific, thanks for the reply Meisje. Trust me, difficult is not impossible. ;) I agree with her, it definitely has to be A grade and top class because that is only deserving of the book's quality. I've yet to fully develop my movie creation/cinematic skills/career however please count me in on any serious project for the movie. :)
Thanks for that, although that like doesn't appear to work?
I have to say, I think it would be completely butchered if someone was to make it into a movie, look how many movies have come out the past few years based on comics and books that have been epic failures.
That being said, I wouldn't mind Peter Jackson taking a whack at it!
I do agree that it would make a good TV series or if they did it proper a series like Harry Potter or the full LOTR.
I would just be terrified of a TV series being cancelled.
OMGosh! Wouldn't it be cool if someone was to make a full illustrated book series.
O_O Imagine the size of TSK if it was fully illustrated! You'd need a crane to lift it [strike]but I'd totally still buy it.[/strike]
Oh yeah! And purchase a crane with it. lol. If I was a better artist.... Hmmm, maybe I should make my cousin do it. He works for Blizzard, the video game company.
Just sayin', I have $47 in my wallet.
And kind of literally stopped breathing for a few seconds reading this thread. I love the idea.
What about Kickstarter?
I also love the idea of an animated series. I agree that it has a bit more potential to stay true to the books than a movie. *dreams of both occurring*
That is exactly what I was going to suggest after the success of the Veronica Mars Kickstarter campaign.
Veronica Mars had the actors, writers, etc. etc. all behind the project though. It had people who know the industry, know what it required, what needs to be done, the people to talk to to get those things done . . . as well as the fact that Veronica Mars was quite a successful show in its time and had an incredibly large following compared to IC and her work.
Kickstarter would be possible (though, as an Australian production it would need to be done through Pozible which is the equivalent here) but there would need to be a lot of work and negotiating and learning and everything done first before it could even get to that step.
