Thanks for the suggestions guys! Avialle, I'm currently waiting on the 4MB version of the photo from Ames - was just playing around with the 220KB version that I had, it's at 800x600. The 4MB will be huge/croppable so I'll have a play!
MK - I was thinking of editing the trees/sky, by adding a bit of colour actually :P not as bright as Dragon, but just saturating slightly - while the B&W enhances the contrast of Dragon's hair + skin (what I was going for), it's still too much a mass of greys. A slight bit of colour I thought might bring out the grey/desolation of the ruined city..?
Reference scene in Farseekers; I thought the shot could resemble outside the ruined library (in it's rubbled state) instead of the inside of the library (which is more modern/less ruined/INES). So the scene (if not existing in the book) is Dragon trying to disappear over the tops of the ruins from view as she spots someone...observing her, I suppose (or, pointing a camera at her :P ). Like, one of those moments perhaps in Farseekers, where they think they see something, but when they do a double-take, she's gone.
Zier - thanks for the idea of making her more dirty! I did have the hair a bit darker and skin wasn't coloured at all originally, but it just lost the Dragon-ish effect not having bright/flame hair. The skin I decided to add to point out that Dragon as a whole (and not just her hair) was the beacon drawing the Misfits to the Library.
If you guys are interested in the entire photo shoot she did at Angkor Thom & Bayon, here's the link:
~Link~"Dragon" (the original) is on page 2. She's also got a ton of other spectacular galleries. Can't rave enough about her photos!
It totally makes sense with your image that it's the she-fienna! Argh, I was thinking it was the baby fienna for some reason! Ignore my comments :P
Elspethinnle I love the maze! The animals are slightly disconnected from the background - I know you're going for the cutout effect, but perhaps try hand-painting on a shadow for them?
For the councilcourt image - it does need something more? I like the shot without the filters, too. You know what might be cool - get the original photo, and 'shop in three spiraling Agyllian birds in the sky? :D Oh! And the hint of flames at the base of the building. Sort of like...there's a Burning going on at the base (but we can just see the top/side of the flames?). Though that might appear as though the building is on fire. Anyway, just a thought.
