question: can we use pictures we have entered in another comp? I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that we could but I cant find it now.

You can :D Provided it's all your own work, and that it fits the dimensions reasonably of the calendar template. I.e. you don't have to fill up the entire white space, for example, you could center an image on there. Just keep in mind presentation ;)

Hehe, I have to say, I love that the shop is called "Obernewt"! XD (I'm now trying to visualise an Obernewt. :P) Looks great, Min - great to know we've got more flexibility in the calendar now. :)
And I love the *grugs* badge - very cute! ;D
I really want that Good Egg flagon >.>
Incidentally I actually do need a new mouse pad, its a shame it doesn't have the gel wrist rests :P
LOL I'm glad you guys like it! The range is just massive, and it's so user-friendly to create stuff. I'm very happy with the move, even if we can't display the prices in AUD.
We'll hopefully be running some competitions soon, for more designs to go into the shop. At least, we're currently plotting - there's no definite dates on anything just yet.
Do we have restrictions on how many colors to use?
From experience, I've known that it costs more to print something too colorful than something majorly composed of black and white colors.

Probably not seeing as we are going to print colour anyway and im pretty sure there is a flat rate for this (or so i assume :P). As long as you don't try to use Pantones everything will be fine. Which in English means, just use normal CMYK colours. :P
Actually it might be good to point out that colours on screen are sometimes lighter than colours printed professionally. And while im talking about colour: make sure you are in CMKY colour mode not RGB if you are using Photoshop or Illustrator or Gimp or any other program that does image editing. CMYK is made to be printed, RGB is for screen only.
What if we happen to do it by hand but do not have a scanner nor an image editing program?
I have to take pictures of my artwork and then crop the image all the time. How would I make sure that it is in CMYK? (currently working on an iMac)
Yay! iMac club! :P
Don't worry too much about it. I submitted last years images in RGB format and they converted and printed fairly well. Most printing places will convert it automatically before printing it anyway.
If you want to make sure that your colours are 100% correct, though - in Photoshop, it's Image > Mode > CMYK Colour.
Another question, what about the gradation? Would it be restricted if the image (drawing) has too many colors?

I checked the requirements again on zazzle, and they actually request images be formatted to RGB profiles. So as long as your entries adhere to that colour profile, it will be fine.

Can I enter something from my moonfair entries? It said 'inspired by' on the actually web page, but can I enter something I entered in one of the moonfair art comps?

Sure can :) just as long as it fits the requirements of the Calendar comp then there should not be a problem :)
Just a heads up guys, the cut of for entries will very likely be the 30th November.
But, with such a short time between the closing + end of the year, we might have to do something different for chosing which ones get in, and on which month. November was supposed to be voting time, and it seems we all need it to get entries ready ~:| (the year has just slipped away, though).

Thanks for the extension, Min! At least this way I've got a greater chance of finishing my entry in time! I agree that we'll have to have a different system though - or just a really short period in which to vote, and go with what votes we have. This year has definitely slipped away!
I really like it MK. Lol its a pig-uin!
Not sure if I can help you about perception in caves.... I like it as it is, really.
On another note, how long is the voting time? This year has flown by....

haha thanks Cat :D Oh and I think I've worked out the caves thing now (was a TOTAL fluke but hey ^.^)
As for voting - I believe we might be doing something a little diffeent this year - given how long (or rather how short :P) we have until the new year - but we shall keep you posted!
Heh, MK I love it (L) especially the inclusion of your trademark falling duck :P
As for bringing focal point, I'd move your background down a bit so that the brightest part of it circles the machine. The eyes are instantly attracted to it tha way.
