Hey, um...if you haven't already read in Writersmerge the year 9s this year are studying a book called "Walk in My Shoes" by Alwyn Evans......and one of the tasks we were allowed to choose was to create a collage about the book, so here's mine....
~Link~I'm also supposed to explain, to the teacher what's it all about (not a speech) so since i'm guessing most of youz haven't read the book, my explaination will clear it up a little:
- Gulnessa (the main character of the book) sits on the left of the page surrounded by her family (brothers and sisters)
- In front of her is the barbed wire fence which is enclosing her family from escape
- On your top right hand corner is the boat she rode upon to escape from afganistan and to australia
- that boat almost crashed into the rocks before a lighthouse saved them
- that event is often mentioned in the book as the 'lighthouse night' i believe it symbolizes hope and therefore i put that into the collage too
- all that is laid upon storm clouds which blind her, symbolizing also grief and sadness (also the reason why everything is in black and white)
- and on the bottom (right) is a gunman.....referred to as "The Terror"
- on the top is also a quote i found in the blurb :)
If anyone would have any other suggestions that'd be great thanks :D
