Lorey: *sigh's happily* we be going back to th' swamp! *shakes frypan at imaginary snakes*
Vixen: ARRR!! *shakes fist at the swamp*
Teddy: I agree. We should make a plan to get through the swap as we are walking towards it.
Sue: I'll stab it!!
The Cut Lass: Save that for the vermin. I say we string ourselves together with sue at the front and walk through it. Sue can kill any evil things that come our way.
Lorey: Can i whack and jab with me pan and sword? I want to go at the front!
Sue: Im more violent! I go at the front!
Lorey: But i have better weapons!
Sue: No you dont!
Later...
*the two continue to bicker, squaring off while walking. Teddy, Vixen and The cut lass exchange exasperated looks*
Vixen: ARRRRR
Teddy: It is quite the headache, isnt it.
Cut lass: *pushes the squabbling pirates away from each other* That's it ive had enough! One of ye at the front one of ye at the back! Then ye can both whack and jab and stab.
[act]Sue briefly considers which of these two positions is more likely to see her whacking, jabbing and stabbing, and darts to the front smugly. Lorey stamps to the back of the line crossly, where she is immediately confronted with a dozen or so snakes sneaking up on the group.[/act]
Sue: [act]glancing back as Lorey happily sets in with her frypan[/act] Aw, dammit. Why do I always choose the safe stuff by mistake? [act]sulks[/act]
Teddy: I am quite certain that numerous dangers and near-death experiences lie in your immediate future, Miss Sue.
Sue: [act]sullenly[/act] Not with snakes, I bet.
Cut Lass: So, we got t' find this cave first, that right?
Teddy: The token in the cave, yes. Apparently it is only accessible at a certain time, fast approaching. So perhaps we ought to...?
Cut Lass: Right. [act]bellows[/act] Come on, you mangy lot! Let's get movin'!
Vixen: There's only four of us. You don't have t' yell.
Cut Lass: 'S'part of my mystique.
Vixen: Ah. Well, should we start?
Sue: Hey, I think I see a snake on the other side of the swamp! Come on, I got to protect you from it!
Lorey: But it's all the way over...
Sue: [act]is already racing towards it[/act]
Cut Lass: Well, accordin' t' the compass, she's going the right way towards th' cave anyhow. So we may's well follow 'er.
[act]With a sigh, the team bounds after Sue[/act]
Sue: (excited) t'is no ordinary snake! t'is a small crocodile!
Cut lass : I do't care what it is, just kill itn and move on
Lorey: but i's cute! I hink I'll call him sam.
Teddy: can you train him to heel?
Lorey: you there! Sam! heel boy.
Sam: *turns around and heads towards Lorey.*
Lorey readys her frypan. :Maybe this wasnt' such a good idea.
Sam approches and rolls over on his belly kicking his feet in the air.
Lorey:aww you're just a bit softy aren;t you? Tell you what, you wait here and give the group behind us a big fright and I'll come back from the caves with a nice snacky for you, yes i will!
Cutlass: if we're done here the cave is that way.
Vixen: let's go crew!
Lorey: *rubs crocodiles belly then dashes off to catch up with the rest of the crew*
Cut Lass: 'bout time you caught up.
Lorey: *wheezing* I'm not young enough for all this bounding about.
Sue: That's yer fault for not keeping up wiht us. It's not our fault you spent so much time rubbing the crocs belly... We were just walking...
Teddy: I do believe we were running most of the way trying to keep up wiht your head long dash into danger.
*Sue waves her knife threateningly at teddy causing vixen to jump in front of him protectively*
The Cut Lass: *rolling her eyes* Can we please fight and walk at the same time?

Teddy: It's OK, I don't think she would really have stabbed me. [act]looks sideways at Sue[/act] and even if she does, I'm sure you have the emergency sewing kit on you somewhere. Don't you?
Vixen: Aaaarrrrr???????
Teddy: Oh Brother.
Sue: [act]Spots a huge hairy spider sitting in a web spanned between two trees. Waves knives around threateningly[/act]
Cut Lass: We don't have time for spiders Sue. [act]pushes Sue in the right direction[/act]
Lorey: [act]Still bringing up the rear looks longingly at the spider.[/act] Aarrr t'would only take a minute or two.
Cut Lass: Not a minute to spare. [act]Continues to push Sue who is looking rather annoyed.[/act]
Vixen: Aaarrrrrrr!!!!!!!!
Teddy: Oh dear it seems tht we have run into a little pronlem here.
Lorey: [act]To Cut Lass and Sue[/act] Do it seem like the Vixen be gettin' a lot shorter all of a sudden like?
Vixen: [act]Gulp![/act]
Cut Lass: GAH another delay!
Lorey: It's not our fault...
Teddy: Well actually... *teddy stops seeing Sue and Lorey glaring at him*
Sue: I be having an idea. We gets this rope *quickly unties everyone* and we tie up vixen ta one end... and then we...*throws the other rope over a convieniently placed tree branch* An' now we all stand here where the ground is firm then pull.
*Sue waits will teddy, Lorey and Cut Lass walk over to her*
Cut Lass: Heave-Ho!
*the crew heaves on the rope and vixen pops out of the swamp flying stright over their heads and into another conviently placed shrub.*
Vixen: ARRRR!!!
Cut Lass: Leave it t us to have a disaster on our hands when we reach the end of the swamp.
Lorey: I think we handled it very well...
Sue: Where did vixen go?
Teddy: *points into the distance* she landed on a prickly something or rather and is currently running for her life. I knew knew she had it in her. Funny what pain does.. *is snatched up by lorey*
Lorey: After that pirate!
Sue: Ye can't just say that what if she aint going the right way?
Cut Lass: *checks the map* She's going the right way...
*the crew suddenly realise that they are still standing still and run after Vixen who is almost at the X*

[act]As the crew reach the end of the swamp and continue to run after Vixen up the side of the mountains, The Cut Lass notices what looks like a number of caves in the distance high up on the peaks. Sue tackles Vixen to stop her headlong run and they all throw themselves to the ground panting from the exertion.[/act]
Cut Lass: Now we have to be deciding which of them thar caves is the one we be needin' [act]waves hand in direction of caves[/act]
Sue: How many are there? [act]counts[/act] One, two, three, four. Looks like there be one fer the each of us. [act]caressess knives[/act] four of them thar caves and four of us, thats one each I be thinkin.
Lorey: Ye probly be right thar Sue.
Vixen: [act]is still too puffed to AArrrrrr[/act]
Cut Lass: But what about th' other team? We can't let 'em get 'ere and steal our treasure.
Teddy: I think if we get a little closer and have a look at the caves while its still light we should be able to work out which one has the token in it. After all whoever placed the token must have left some sign, footprints, that sort of thing.
Vixen: Aaarrrrrr
Cut Lass: Ye jest might be onta somfin there Ted.
Sue: Are we gunna eat first? [act]picks teeth with knife point[/act]
Lorey: [act]Looks at Sue in surprise[/act] Do we have any food?
Cut Lass: No time for food, Lets go.
[act]The crew head further up the mountain and come to the first of the caves.
[/act]
Cut Lass: careful now, we don' wanna miss any signs here. [act]looks carefully around the cave checking for footprints.[/act] This one don' look like its been used in a while.
Teddy: Well actually Miss Lass, if you look a little closer there are lots of litle tell tail signs that this cave has been in use lately. [act]points to scratches on the ground and funny little round balls of dirt.[/act] those be the marks of let me see, [act]looks closer[/act] yes, at least one family of owls. And those........ No Mis Sue I wouldn't pick it up if I were you.
Sue: Why? [act]waves knives at Teddy[/act]
Teddy: that would be the vomit of the family of owls. You know that they eat their prey whole, then digest what they can and vomit the rest back up, bones, fur, that sort of thing.
Sue: Aarrrrrrr [act]Moves away from cave.[/act]
Lorey: We're just wastin' time 'ere. Lets go.
Cut Lass: Aye, lets check out the next one.
*The Crew peer into the next cave. A large set of dusty foot prints lead into the cave*
Lorey: There be summat in there an' it ain't come back out! P'raps that be where th' token is!
Teddy: You'll find that the creaure that made those prints is not a human, and so i doubt the token would be in there. Also they go in but not out. That either means us going in is dangerous or it went in there to die...
Sue: Food! *brandishes knives*
*Cut Lass and Teddy grimace at the thought*
Vixen: Arrrr
Teddy: That cave? Let's have a look.
Cut Lass: Well ye would think that the pirate hat and cutlass lying here would mean this be th' cave...
Teddy: That's right... but its undoubtedly a plot to distract us. Well done Miss Lass. Let's move on...
Lorey: Arr but there be something shiny in there! *the crew pretends not to hear and continues on*
Cut Lass: [act]waves cutlass[/act] Onto Dead Man's Reef!
Teddy: [act]consults compass[/act] Hmm, the Reef in question appears to be several miles in a nor-nor-easterly direction, reached through a narrow mountain track.
Sue: Eh?
Teddy: We've got another day's trekking ahead of us.
Sue: Aw, crud.
Lorey: [act]hugs frypan[/act] So, no time to hunt down a few snakes and beat 'em?
Sue: Or eat? :(
Vixen: Arrrr!
Lorey: Pardon?
Vixen: [act]clears throat[/act] 'Scuse me. I said, I believe we should get goin'.
Cut Lass: Aye, come on, ye scurvy landlubbers! We gotta make good time if we're gonna beat that Black Team to our treasure!
[act]The crew sets off through the mountains, with Teddy guiding them by compass[/act]

Sue: [act]Is getting very hungry.[/act] Can' we stop 'n eat soon?
Lorey: Eat what?
Cut Lass: We don't 'ave no food with us.
Teddy: Well actually that is not quite right. I do believe my Vixen has the odd chocolate bar in her pocket and though chocolate might not be concidered a food group in the normal way f things i do believe that in bar form it is considered food.
Sue: [act]Waves knives at Vixen.[/act]
Vixen: Aarrrrrrr, [act]croaks[/act] I forgot I 'ad em.
Teddy: Very true. She has been carrying them all this time and not eaten a one. i think we could possibly share the chocolate and eat it while we walk. [act]Checks compass while Vixen hands out chocolate bars.[/act] This way.
Sue: Mmmmffffffffff
Lorey: ggggglllllllllllll
Cut Lass: Shtop yer talshin' wish yer mouse fu.
Vixen Arrrrrrrrrrr!
Teddy Quite!!
[act]the crew continue on their way to dead mans reef happily munching on chocolate bars.[/act]
You reach the coast as the tide is going out. You better search the revealed ship wreaks quickly to find the one on the coin. Once you have found the ship, grab one of the treasure chests there and return to shore. The team who has completed this challenge creatively with good team and pirate work, and in the time frames given will be the winners. The other team will all be nominated for being set adrift!

Lorey: Ahhaar we made it!
Cut Lass: How'd we get here so quick? o.O
Sue: Musta been all th' sugar in th' chocolate bars...
Teddy: So, looking at the problem at hand we need to find the ship on the coin... We need some cunning plan that will allow us to find the correct ship as soon as possible.
Vixen: *points towards a small hill* ARRRR *ahem* i mean, look there! Thats a perfect vantage spot!
*the crew trundle up the hill only to discover it's not that useful after all*
Sue: It's not high enough!
Cut Lass: Quit yer wailing and start looking!
Lorey: *eyeing teddy* P'raps there be an easier way to find the ship... D'ya like heights teddy?
Vixen: *eyes teddy, then the sky, eyes teddy again and then grins* Just pretend we be playing a child'ood game...only ye have to try adn spot the ship while yer high in the sky.
*Teddy gulps as he is grabbed by vixen and thrown high into the air*
Crew: Can yer see it?
Teddy: *lands in vixens arms* Well it aint to the right of us...

Teddy: Well DUH! [act]Falls onto the sand as Vixen misses him.[/act] Its just as well that I'm made of fabric and stuffing.
Sue: Stuffing? [act]Whips out knife and licks lips[/act]
Teddy: Not that kind of stuffing Miss Sue. I was talking about the fluffy white cottony stuffing that fills my insides.
Sue: I wish I could fill me insides.
Lorey: Ye jest had a heap o' chocolate, how come ye still be 'ungry.
Sue: I think I'm having stabbing withdrawl. [act]pets knives.[/act]
Lorey: [act]Caresses frypan[/act] Oh I think I know what ya mean.
Cut Lass: Enough of the muckin' round, we 'ave a treasure to find.
Teddy: Nothing to the left either....... and before you toss me up again that only leaves straight ahead. [act]Points to the ship wrecks directly in front of the crew.[/act]
Cut Lass: Good on ya Ted, lets go.
[act]the crew walk back down the hill to the beach and look at the array of ships uncovered by the retreating tide.[/act]
Sue: Which one?
Lorey: that one looks good.
Cut Lass: looks a bit too good if ya ask me. It looks to recent to be the one we're lookin for.
Teddy: The oldest wreck is that one there, [act]points[/act] and if you look carefully though the gapsin the rotten planks you'll see there is a treasure chest sitting onthe bottom, there see?
[act]Crew squint and shake their heads[/act]
Vixen: Arrrrrrrr ye sure Teddy?
Teddy: I am indeed. One would assume your eyes would be better than mine, considering that mine are just beads.
Lorey: I don't want ta go to tha' ship if there aint no treasure on it. *shakes frypan warningly* Ye had better be sure!
Cut Lass: *has an idea* Gimme that rope Lorey *take the rope focibly from around Lorey's waist causing her to fall over* Ye ever seen a Lasso? or one o' them helicopters?
Teddy: I do not like where this is going...
Vixen: ARRR i wont be letting ye hunt me teddy!
Cut Lass: I'm not going to hurt him! I'm just gonna send him in for a closer look.
*Cut Lass ties teddy up to the rope and begins to spin him around above her head*
Vixen: *biting her nails* He's gonna fall off the rope!
Sue: Ne'er ye mind that. He can just float back to us if he falls off... *pats Vixen who now looks horrified. Cut Lass has released the rope but missed the boat*
Cut Lass: Arr whoops... |:(
Lorey: *snatches the rope* My turn! *gleefully drags teddy back in who is now water logged and covered in sand* This be just like th' ol' fry pan whirling tournament... only ye don't need to worry bout loosing th' food inside o' it!
*Lorey spins and releases the rope and teddy lands on the boat. He jumps through a hole in the deck disappearing from view. After a minute Vixen snatches the rope and hauls teddy back. He has another coin in his paw*
Sue: Tha' be thar ship alright! Let's go get tha' treasure!
*the crew wades in leaving a soggy, sand caked teddy sun baking on the shore*

Sue: Baahaha!! Treasure! [act]flings herself on to....not one of the chests, but a small floundering pile of fish that got stranded on the ship as the tide receded[/act]
Cut Lass: Sue...those are fish, not treasure.
Sue: [act]looks up with live fish flapping about in her mouth[/act] S'foo. S'ed'ble. S'tresha.
Lorey: Well said! I think. What did she say? [act]whips out frying pan and slaps some fish on[/act]
Vixen: Not like that! Yeh gotta let 'em simmer for a while first. Or at least kill 'em. Ye'll get indigestion if yeh eat 'em live.
Lorey: [act]sagely[/act] It's true. I learnt that the hard way.
Cut Lass: Focus, yeh trout-swallowin' n'anderthals!
Sue: [act]sniffs fish[/act] I think it's cod, actually.
Cut Lass: We're here for the treasure! Help me get it outta here, or I'll see to it none o' ya ever eats anythin' ever again!!
Vixen: No need for that tone.
Lorey: [act]mournfully[/act] Can we eat once we've moved the treasure?
Cut Lass: Yeh can buy a lifetime supply o' chocolate bars if yeh move the treasure NOW.
[act]The three ponder this for a second or two, then move to help Cut Lass with the treasure. This takes some time: though they're only moving one chest, it proves to be extremely heavy - and locked, so they can't lighten it. After it has dropped on Sue's toes so many times she looks even more maniacal with rage than usual, a proposition is made[/act]
Cut Lass: Look, the tide's comin' up. Why don't we use that lassoo thing again, and tow the chest to shore by swimming and draggin' it behind us?
[act]The crew proceeds to do this, eventually arriving with the chest on shore, where Teddy lies marinating gently[/act]
EDIT: Oops! Looks like I posted this one just a couple of minutes too late. :( Oh well, it was stil lfun to write. :P
