Lord Raoul said to tell you that if you die in this joust He'll never speak to you again. - Tamora Pierce
Edit:
Ooh, I just remembered another one:
Where have you been all my life? And how long till you go back there? - A book (can't remember the title, but one of the time-warp trio I think about Greek gods)
Most of my fave quotes are from books.
"Life was a flower that could grow anywhere. In deserts and wastelands, in tundras and wildernesses. It was ferociously strong and immensely delicate. So tenacious that it would hang on grimly to the slightest hold and prolong itself through awful suffering rather than surrender to death. Yet it was so fragile too, that a breeze could destroy it; a gust, a shower of rain, and it would wither and fade as if it had never been." - from 'The Speed of the Dark" by Alex Shearer
I like that one Zepherine. There are certainly a lot of good quotes from books.
This is another one of my favourite quotes that I came across recently:
Without inspiration the best powers of the mind remain dormant. There is a fuel in us which needs to be ignited with sparks.
Johann Gottfried Von Herder
My prefered: With hope that angels will win as long that there love will exist.
One of my favourite quotes feels like it should be a real quote from somewhere, but I have no idea where.
"Is it not human nature that, having failed once, we should try again until we succeed?"
I have always liked this one.
"Never fear shadows. They simply mean there's a light shining somewhere nearby." - Ruth E. Renkel

one of my favourite quotes:
"There are three types of men in the world. One type learns from books; one type learns from observation; and one type just has to urinate on the electric fence."
- Dr. Laura Schlessinger
There are 10 kinds of people in this world: those who understand binary and those who don't.
[sub]Sorry - if we're quoting kinds-of-people jokes that's my favourite...[/sub]
There are three types of people in the world. Those who can count and those who can't.
^ I love that quote too, Meza!
One of my favourite book quotes is from Maximum Ride: Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports. It goes something similar to this:
Ter Borcht: You. Do you haf any qualities dat distinguish you in any way?
Nudge: You mean, like, besides the wings? [act]shakes wings a bit[/act]
Ter Borcht: [act]blushes[/act] Yes, besides de vings.
Nudge: Hmm. Besides de vings. Um...I once ate nine Snickers bars in one sitting. Without barfing. That was a record!
Ter Borcht: Hardly a special talent.
Nudge: Yeah? Let's see YOU do it.
Gazzy: (In Ter Borcht's voice) I vill now eat nine Snickers bars, visout bahfing.
- after interogation is complete and Ter Borcht is ticked off -
Gazzy: I vill now destroy de Snickuhs bahrs!
I laughed so very much when I read this :D
My other favourite quote, which I'm sure I've posted elsewhere, is:
I have CDO. It's like OCD, but all the letters are in alphabetical order AS THEY SHOULD BE.
Here's a few of my favourites from my favourite comedians Colin Lane & Frank Woodley
'If all the village idiots, of all the villages, left their villages and made their own village, of idiots, in that village. You would be the village idiot.'
'Sticks and Stones may break my bones but names will only cause permanent psychological damage'
and when Frank is attempting to attack Colin with a fire extinguisher:
'Take it onto your pinkie so it freezes and becomes a whitey!'
Axe, yeah I cracked up at that! Love the series they're sooo funny! :D
Max Ride Quotes: (Is there a thread for these? If not I'll create one.)
'So there you have it. Our life in a nutshell. Emphasis on 'nut'.'
Dr Martinez: Fang, are you like Max?
Fang: Nope. I'm the smart one.
Nightwatcher. . . I laughed so loud at your first two quotes! :D
My favourite quote comes from Alyzon Whitestarr- some people seek out library's as naturally as lemmings look for a cliff. How very awesome!!!

I can't remember where this was from, but it did make me laugh:
"You have so many years ahead of you, and so many days to act stupid. Could you put stupidity on "pause", just for today?"

I love quotes. My big collection is on the other computer, but here is one I am relating to most days!
"I love sleep. My life has the tendency to fall apart when I'm awake, you know?"
Ernest Hemingway
And an absoloute favourite that I think everyone needs to hear-
"As different as we all are, there’s one thing most young women have in common;
We’re all brought up to feel like there’s something wrong with us.
We’re too fat. We’re dumb. We’re too smart. We’re not ladylike enough- stop cursing, chewing with your mouth open, speaking your mind. We’re too slutty. We’re not slutty enough.
F**** that.
You’re not too fat. You’re not too loud.
You’re not too smart. You’re not unladylike.
There is nothing wrong with you.
-Jessica Valenti “Full Frontal Feminismâ€
Three favorite quotes-
“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.â€
- Albert Einstein
"Where else in the world do you find love that lasts forever, truth, justice, honour, courage? Why do we yearn for them when there's so little evidence of them around us? Fantasy. That's why it's so popular - we want there to be more than the real."
“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it may be necessary from time to time to give a stupid or misinformed beholder a black eye.â€
-Jim Henson
