I shall keep my eyes peeled.
On another note, i've just started rewatching all previous seasons on Bluray. Go HD!
++++ Season 4 news +++++
First things first, Ianto will not be coming back
Torchwood is now homeless, and this new series will be based largely in America, but will include other countries as well.
The Rift in Cardiff is now closed. When Matt Smith's Doctor closed all of the cracks in the Universe, The Rift was also closed, so there is no need for Torchwood to be there anymore.
I'm fairly certain the only ones who will be returning are Gwen & Jack, seeing as everyone else is very much dead. Which is a shame; because I liked Ianto.
They are the only two returning. RTD has stated that none of the others will be ressurected
++++ Torchwood Season 4 News ++++
Season 4 has a new title: 'The New World'
It also has a new American writing team, including BSG and Buffy veteran Jane Espenson

Filming has started in America.
No more information yet, but I will post any as I find it
I'm feeling more accepting of the change now that I've had time to recover from Children of the Earth, I'm actually looking forward to this. Still hoping like hell it isn't the usual horrible watered-down, changed-in-stupid-ways, made-for-idiots American TV that happens whenever they decide to remake a show from somewhere else! But it has some good people involved, so I do still have hope...
Any word on new cast yet?
Apart from Jack and Gwen, no other confirmed regular cast members as yet
+++++ Season 4 News ++++++
Torchwood has some new cast for "The New World". ER vet Mekhi Phifer will be CIA agent Rex Matheson, while Bill "Spaceballs" Pullman will play a murderer and paedophile Oswald Jones.
I guess we'll have to wait and see (though if I can find out any more info, I will of course post it)
You know, I gotta say...while I'm furious (and probably always will be) that they're moving Torchwood out of Cardiff - because really, that's part of what made it special and different from any other secret-agent-show...the pedigree surrounding new Torchwood looks too interesting to ignore. They've got Jane Espenson (Firefly, Buffy, BSG, Caprica, etc) who's written up to half of the episodes apparently. You've got Dichen Lachman in Cardiff, potentially Bill Pullman, plus Jack, Gwen and Rhys all returning.
I'm intrigued...but not yet squeeing.
I think the show had run its course in Cardiff. Whilst I agree that it is sad (especially after we found that entrance to the hub when we were in Cardiff), i think the show will progress well. Torchwood should be operating in other countries, and we may get to see what other countries have been up to during certain events in Dr Who if we are lucky

+++++++ Season 4 News ++++++
Torchwood: Miracle Day's already awesome cast will get extra sci-fi kudos points with the addition of former Ghostbuster Ernie Hundson (Winston Zedmore)
Also, it seems that a broadcast date has been set as 8th July (which is a Friday). No broadcast time given yet.
++++++ Season 4 News +++++++
The new season is in 10 parts
The main plot of the series is that the world's population stops dying
The main focus is on Jack, Gwen and Rex (one of the CIA agents whose investigation leads to Torchwood)
Gwen, Rhys and their baby are living off the grid. Jack has gone into hiding as well, but is keeping a close eye on Gwen and her family
Some spoilers on Sea5 Episode 1
(don't read if you don't want to know what happens)
Bill Pullmans character Oswald Jones survives his death sentance.
Gwen's father lives through a heart attack
There is a soldier in this episode who is blown up, and his body is spread across four tables, but he is still alive.
There are consequences now that everyone is immortal. One person who we expect to be immortal, no longer is. Captain Jack apparently has a large bruise on his arm that won't heal...
I get UKTV e-mails (not that I actually have Foxtel...) and in it it says that Torchwood: Miracle Day starts July 9 and will be on Saturdays at 8:30pm.
Cool. Thanks for the update

woot, should be able to watch this tomorrow. Can't wait.
Miracle Day Ep1
Not a bad start, but I agree with what Min said on Facebook the you don't really care about the new people they have introduced.
It's great to see Bill Pullman acting again, those it's unusual to see him in such a dark role.
Seeing Jack, Gwen and Rhy's again has been good. I wonder how they'll handle Jack's character now that he's mortal.
Nice nod to past series: When Jack goes into the hospital to see the disturbing remains of the bomber, he announces himself as FBI Agent Owen Harper
The beach chase scene between the helicopter and Land Rover was cool.
In the rest of series trailer at the end of the episode it looks like we'll get to see Wayne Knight (Denis Nedry in Jurassic Park) and Dichen Lachman (Sierra in Dollhouse)
I just watched the first episode and I actually quite liked it. America hasn't ruined it yet! :P
I spent the entire episode trying to remember Rhys' name, and didn't until I just read DO's comment. D'oh! I struggled to pick up what the baby's name was though, anyone know? I loved the bit where Gwen gets the baby's ear muffs and puts them on her before shooting out of the window!
I'm a little bit with Min and DO, but not fully, about not caring about the new characters. I care about Esther a lot more than Rex, Rex I was 'meh' all episode and then he brought in the cops to 'requisition' the team and make an "America is the centre of the world!" speech which made me like him even less. But Esther I like so far.
Interesting that Esther and Jack had the same rib bruise pattern, wonder what that means (other than a potentially lazy make up team :P )
Cutting the explosion guy's spinal cord, and in fact that whole scene was a bit gross. Good, and needed, but gross.
The rest of the season bit at the end was interesting, with everyone starting to worship the rapist who didn't die. I wonder what is causing it, and it's interesting that it reverses the heart of the TARDIS making Jack immortal... I quite like the reversal though, from Jack is immortal to everyone but Jack is immortal. Love him telling Gwen, "I cut my arm. :( "

I didn't think much of ep 1 but just watched ep 2 and thought it was a wee bit better.
loved Gwen slugging out the CIA agent
Thought that Esther was great in this one and hope she is one of the keepers for the rest of the series. Pullmans character freaked me out during his interview and what the doc comes up with is pretty scary

Oh, my other favourite moments from the first episode
The helicopter vs car along the beach was pretty cool, particularly liked Jack having to tell Rex to actually do something, and Gwen's "We're Torchwood" after firing the rocket launcher thing.
And Rex's stuff about how he had to pay for a bridge, and bringing it up in random sentences.
I like that there's still some humour. Sometimes I think Torchwood is in danger of being too serious, too dramatic.
