Friendbinding
Description:
The friendbinding is an ancient binding on Keltor - it is essentially an oath or bond of loyalty. It can only be used by those who are aligned to Darkfall, as demonstrated when Alene invokes the friendbinding by telling Revel that Ember is a friend of Darkfall. The friendbinding is invoked only at great need, and its purpose is to ensure safety for the traveller. The breaking of the friendbinding is considered to be treachery, and is presumably judged by the offender's home sept.
