May Writing Comp: The Sutrium Times
This month’s writing challenge is to write a newspaper-style article, that covers a topic you think people of the Land would be interested in reading about. It can be anything, from breaking story, to scandal, to general interest piece.
Entries open from now until 31 May 2009.
Submission Suggestions
Use your imagination - the point of this competition is to entertain (that doesn't mean it has to be classically funny, though - serious articles can be entertaining). Read a couple of newspaper articles to see how it's done, if you've not written one before.
Suggestions on topics - you could write an article on:
'An interview with our new Cheftain - get to know him'
'What's the latest fashion trend.'
'Our brothers and sisters in Sador'
'Herblore - not the abomination against Lud'
There are lots of possibilities!
Your entry should be no longer than 1000 words. You can only enter once, so make sure you're happy with the entry before you submit it!
