Last year Obernewtyn.net ran a competition asking members to design how they pictured Cassy Duprey’s design of the Twentyfamilies’ tattoo. Entries can be viewed via this link.
This year, we are asking members to design the insignia of the fanatical religious order of The Land – The Herder Faction.
So... what does the Herder seal look like??
Well, that's why we are having the competition.
Unlike the Twentyfamilies' tattoo, there is very little reference made to its design in the book. This allows a lot of flexibility.
If you feel that you are a little stuck for ideas, please head over to Stonehill: The Herders thread for discussion with other members
What you get for entering;
Each entry submitted will get your guild 10 points. You can only enter once, so make your entry worth it - it will be up to the judges as to what constitutes a valid entry or not (eg, basically, don't just submit any old picture that took you 3 minutes to find on google for the 10 points, because you'll get no points. We want serious entries from people who want to win!).
Judging;
There will be two phases of judging.
Phase 1: Lioness and Ariadne
Phase 2: All of the Herder insignias will be posted in a poll, which will run for a couple of weeks; the winner will get the People's Choice award.
Pointage
Judges picks:
