Ok, well that presented more questions than it answered.
It sounded to me that Cassie's mum might have a slight futuretelling talent and the auror reading ability that the gypsys have. She could tell that Cassie was lying and thats mostly what the gypsys do. Well Cassie had to get it from somewhere.
Oh, wow, the deal with Penguin sounds so cool. And now I'm all curious about these "...other things". :D
I love all the accents IC does! Cassie's mum's was even better than Brydda's, though I haven't got a clue what it could be myself.

Yay!!! Just got to listen to it :D
Do you know exactly who Cassy's mum reminds me of? Martha's mum from Doctor Who. When Isobelle spoke her words with that accent for Cassy's mum, that's immediately who I saw saying those words. I think she's British...
But AH to spoilers!! William Reichler!! *goes to add first name to Encyclopedia* Corruption! Money hungry! Burnt down original location!! *head explodes from excitement*
i didn't really pay attention to the accents, but Martha's mum? i wouldn't have thought that, British maybe but no Martha's mum... although i could be wrong
I'll have to watch the second part when i get a spare minute
deb, i completely agree w/ u!
Cassy's mum is a futureteller or something b/c right after she talks about them paying for what their father did, she got a really strange look on her face like she knew it was going to happen! but does this mean that maybe Cassy's mum is the one who first saw the Great White? Is the key with her?!? ARGH! So many questions!
Ooohh... Part 2 of the Reading.
William Reichler eh? How Intriguing. I wonder who the people were that carried it on, and who the person was who started it. Interesting about the weaponmachines too. .
I can't wait for this book to come out. It's truly taking forever for answers.
The Stone Key is out on the Oct new release lists now. :)
So we should be able to preorder from our local bookstores now, Eth?
Well there goes my 'Hannah Seraphim is Reichler's sister' theory! Yay! I love answers!
So, the original Reichler clinic was at Inva. Inva=Inverness? I think thats a distinct possibility
...*squeak* WHY must bookstores be closed by 9 o'clock at night? It's just inconsiderate.
So, William Reichler = enemy of Misfits, eh? Unless my memory is even worse than I thought and that was already established in an earlier book, that seems a pretty startling fact. I wonder who the original author of the book was?
And I agree, Cassy's mum clearly has some mind powers of her own. I wonder what her situation was, that Cassy thought she'd have the power to speak out against Sentinel and get away with it?
can someone tell me : is there really a date set for it to come out? when?

Hi, iaia-chan, welcome to Ober.net :D There is indeed a release date for The Stone Key in Australia: October 29, 2007. You should be able to preorder your copy from your local bookstore. If you live overseas, you'll have to be patient, we're unsure of the release dates for other countries.
If its even published over here! I had to order the last book from Aus
ARGH- that's like 3 months.
3 months- it's so short after all this time waiting but it may as well be a millenium. :|
What am I gonna do??
I think I will have to prepare a reading corner with all the other books for references and lots of chocca, away from everyone and anything and if anyone as so much as breathes at me while I'm reading they will be on my hitlist. >:(
But Eeeeeekkkkkkkkkkkk!!!!!!!!!!!
It's coming *still jigging* ;D
I don't have a page reference, but Elspeth says something about how the 'original gypsies' were 'Romans'. Perhaps for some reason, Rome had to be abandoned, so the people living there moved and created New Rome?
*sobs* but it was all about cassie and her mum!!!!!! There was no Obernewtyn! No Elf, no Ceir, no Matty, no rushton, no Gevan, no Garth, no Alad, and worst of all, no Dameon!!!!!!!!!!!! It's horrible! I need a reference to Dameon! I need one, Luddammit!!!!!! *cough* sorry (I have an obsession with Dameon, can you tell?
Eeeeee!!! more readings! Yay! And nice one Min, doing a dealsie! Maybe new members now?
Hee hee, I got Obernewtyn for my birthday! yay! and I got enough money to but TF and TKP too! And the cursed library was selling off Ashling for 10c... (cursed cos it sold such a good book, that is..) and I've found a new OC related way to entertain myself and control myself until The Stone King (lol) comes out... obsessive fanart! yay!

Wayla, Ashlings pg443 Fian makes the comment about the gypsies being Romanswhen Elf goes to show him the tattoo on the boat to Sador. 'of course nowt. th' real gypsies were a people called Romans an' they were swallowed up into other races long afore th' great white. Our gypsies are just people who took on their philosophy an' nomadic habits."
*squeals* Zomg... its coming!! i can't wait...
I have to show my mum the reading. she will be really excited as well. when i was fiddling with the computer to get the too work. she said 'you will see how she inspired me, listen to her reading, and you will see why i got interested in reading.'
My mum first got interested in reading when she listened Isobelle read Lord of The Rings too her brothers and sisters. Isobelle put so much emotion into her reading that obviously, it got her interested in books.
She pronounced so many things different to how i would have.
Spelt - Pronounced by IC- how i would have pronounced it
Brydda - Bri da – Bryda
Maruman – mer u man –Merman
And she put on a subtle accent for Cassy’s mum too. kind of like an Asian speaking english (I'm not trying to be racist at all. but thats what it sounds like)
if any of this needs to be in spoilers could someone edit it for me? but i think i didn't put anything that needs to be in spoilers
