That actually sounds quite plausible, n.... But it would be so unsatisfying to have it 'all be a dream'! I really hope not.

In any case although I was shooting for plausible I don't really believe anything I posted above, it's just what popped into my head when I read the title of this thread. You know, kind of:

Q.A metaphor for what?A.Um...I don't know, I only said that because I was being silly, but I guess I could make up some nonsense to support the idea.
Q. Did you really think anybody would swallow this theory?A. If I did I wouldn't be admitting (yet) that it was just some spur of the moment twaddle, I'd be digging in and quoting "proof" from the books, pretending that I really wanted to convince everybody.
