Delayed reply, is delayed. Though that was some excellent work, and congrats on reaching your summer goal. Hopefully this season is proving well thus far.
Resurrecting this very quiet thread to announce that I am going to try doing Nanowrimo, despite obstacles (work, marking, planning for next year, reading, tv, life).
I am aiming for 500 words a day, but will keep my overall goal at 10,000.
Day 1: 613 words
*waves pom poms* GO GO GO
How did day 2 go, Jossie? :P

Thanks for asking.. But day 2 writing couldn't be fit in -not with trying to read TS and the going to the airport to pick my sis up! I hope to double the daily target today to make up for it.
EDIT: probably not gonna be able to write!
EDIT2: feeling stressed and tired about work at the moment. Starting to rethink whether attempting Nano was a bad idea. I've just got so much marking to do (I even ditched the gym to spend all tonight marking!) and then after that is writing reports. I think it's best if I wait until December and do the OberNoWriSu. It's just too overwhelming and depressing at work at the moment to even think about anything like writing :(
Don't stop! Just do a little bit each day! You can do it!
Two days have gone by for this OberNoWri, and I haven't had the chance to write even one word! This time of the year is always hectic with catch ups, dinners, and then busy-ness of work. I am not sure I can manage tonight, but will attempt some.
And the tidal wave of real life and adulting overwhelmed me - there was no possible way I could even consider fitting in some writing last month!
Soon, write-in. Then words *nods* All will be well then.

I'm sad I have to miss the write-in. Words will be expected tomorrow though Jossie.

Ack, day 7, missed the write in... general busy-ness of life is annoying. I will attempt some straight after work today. If I don't create a window of time, designated to writing, I think I just end up filling it with watching TV (Dr Who at the moment!).
EDIT
Day 7: 761 words in about 20ish minutes!
Seems like I have to make a habit of writing straight after work, else I forget! Aaaaannnnd I just remembered that tomorrow I may struggle being that I have a concert to go to. I might try to fit in some words on work laptop.
Woo! But words have happened! So congrats!
That's a great start, Jossie! If you can steal half an hour for writing here and there, it looks like you'll be on track to meet your target... or more.
*not-so-gentle prod* WORDS?

I am already so behind and haven't written anything since my last update... I did manage 477 words tonight. I searched online and was randomly allocated a series of words to use in a story. Don't know if it's going towards anything in particular, but I am aiming to just write and get back to writing!
That gives me so far the word count of: 1238 words.
I will have to amend my goal to be 5000 words for now and increase if perhaps my writing continues. I will also set the timeframe of 31st January (as I will be back to work by then, but hopefully I will keep up the writing!).
I thought also here I would state my main goal which is to try to get back to writing daily (maybe minimum of 500 words), most likely will be writing scenes for Yearnings novel and anything else that strikes me.
HUZZAH FOR WORDS AND GOALS *flails arms about wildly* Good luck, Jossie.

Go Jossie! It sounds like you've made great progress at a very busy time of year for you!
902 words today! They are a bit random, but I'm hoping to work on it a bit.
And shiny new counter below. Back from Perth after a day rest, and almost forgot to write today!

Another 822 words!
"What? Jossie wrote for two consecutive days?"
I'm just as shocked as you are!
Woooooo...
Now to keep it up. I could do with one of those write-ins!
I can now update my goal to be 10,000 words! :)
Good work Jossie! Keep it up
Huzzah, let's make it 3!!!

902 after almost forgetting is great!
So not much of being consecutive days of writing, but some writing today: 647 words.
Yay! That word count is slowly creeping up, so don't stress too much about consecutive days.
