Yes, it's only January :P but since MK already did up the comp in the wings and there were just a couple of buttons to click to make a gallery active, I figured it would be silly not to open this comp and thread up.
Whether you've been around the last couple of years, or new to the Calendar comp - please check out the
Comp Details Page. A couple of design guidelines have changed.
Specifically, please note:
- the template size has changed slightly. This is to meet zazzle's specific guidelines (no longer cafepress'). It's only a little change, but please make sure you download the
new template before you start working on your design. I'm also going to post (next) on how to create your own template. It's a good thing to try, if you're not used to image sizes and setting DPI and are interested in learning more about it.
- Text on entries...okay...we're slightly relaxing the guideline of 'absolutely NO text'.
-- still no quotes please (copywrite reasons).
-- if you
must use text somewhere on your entry, please use a simple, sans-serif font (such as Arial).
Oh - and finally - the cut off dates for designs:
1st November 2010.
Please,
please adhere to this date, we simply cannot have an extension, if you want to be able to vote for the designs yourselves, or there just isn't time to get the calendar out the door :P remember last year!
If you're an artist who works to extension date, please consider the final date for submissions to be...oh, 14th October, or something. Just for your own mental time clock :P
