To answer the inevitable confusion:
The Stone Key was published in Australia as one large book. However, in Canada and the US, it was split into two books, the first being called Wavesong and the second being The Stone Key. If you find a copy of The Stone Key that is about 1000 pages and says it's the fifth book in the Obernewtyn Chronicles, you only need to buy that one. If you find a copy that is only around 500 pages and says it is the 6th book in the series, you need to read Wavesong first.
Don't ask us why - we don't really get it either
(Just thought we should explain this here as well as the pages, because it's bound to confuse people - just like we all were when it first happened! Delete this post if you want, Min and Zieria)

Thanks Lucy, that's a good point - the UK has the same editions of the Obernewtyn books as the US/Canada, so it is indeed two books in the UK as well. (Although it looks like the books available in the UK are the ones that were published in the US/Canada by Random House, so they may only be via Amazon.co.uk and possibly some other online websites? If anyone has any information on their availability, please feel free to PM me.)

oops, quoted the wrong bit before if you saw that before I deleted it
The division was made between chapters 22 and 23, which is almost exactly the halfway mark, and for anyone who's curious and has already read the Australian edition of TSK
This is from Zieria in this thread ~Link~tenth ninth post down.

Thanks Agyllian - I'm glad you thought of that thread, it saved me checking again.
Hi Bambi! Chapter 23 of TSK starts at page 510. The only thing is it's not quite going to make sense, because what happens around the divide of the US books is a bit different to the version of events in the full copy of TSK. If you read my post that Agyllian mentioned, I've given a brief description of what happens at the start of the US version of The Stone Key, so hopefully that will help get you up to speed.
Or if you'd prefer, another option would be to go back a chapter or two in the Australian version of The Stone Key, and go with that version of events instead.
(I'll be happy to delete this post in a few days if we'd rather not have it here. )

Hey just a small note on the ebooks you have listed. I have done extensive research into eBooks recently because of my vision impairment. I've thought that they would be a much easier way to read a book. The one thing I have found in my extensive search is that all the titles I want are rather impossible to get in Australia due to copyright issues. I clicked on a couple of the links above and they have the problem so I assume they all do. What you get on them is a message that says that they're only available in a certain list of countries and Australia isn't on the list. There's probably a way to be sneaky and get around that but it will be difficult. Just thought I'd let you all know.

Thanks for letting us know, Tanya. I'm sorry for not realising that sooner. I've edited the post to make a note on ebook availability, but we may need to make it more prominent. Hopefully Penguin will decide to release an ebook version in future! *crosses fingers*

"The Dark Road" is Isobelle's short story from the anthology mentioned on the Home/News page - Legends of Australian Fantasy. Thanks for pointing that out, Thalia - I'm adding it to the Booklist as we speak. Min has already added it here to the Who is IC? list. (I added The Red Wind to the booklist, but somehow missed adding this story. )

I now know what you are talking about Thalia. Can't wait until June for that one. Apparently The Sending is now going to be released in 2011. I don't know whether an official announcement has been made about that yet but IC said next year in one of her recent interviews.
I remembered reading this short story, The Keystone by IC in a collection called Dreamweavers edited by Paul Collins. Released 1996 I believe. Anyone have any idea on where I can get a copy of that book?
EDIT: If anyone can help me that would be awesome. But I've searched a couple of sites already. It doesn't seem to be around anywhere anymore
