Here is a list of ways to get points for your guild in any of the Obernewtyn.net website areas or recurring competitions. There are lots more ways to earn points for your guild each month; keep your eye on the front page of the site, and the Members Message Board, for new competitions. If you would like more information about guilds, please read About Guilds. There's also a page with current Pointage, if you want to see where your guild's placed so far.
For those of you wondering, the Moonfair occurs around September every year (Moonfair is undoubtedly a fantastic way to score points for your guild).
For any errors, omissions or general questions regarding this list, please post here. This list is in no way complete, so if you feel you should get points for anything else, please also post here about it. To request points for anything specific, PM the Contact looking after that competition.

Once this list is finalised, it'll be moved to its own page (rather than staying as a forum post).
For information about Events + Competitions (non-permanent ones), see the Entertainment page.
deb: Nope, pointage for the standing comps listed above will be recorded by the contact in charge for them.
Ness: a skin is an image that wraps over an application, such as the Backgrounds you can set in Windows Live Messenger (MSN). It takes away the 'boring' grey windows background and puts in an image of your choice. Actually - better idea - Wikipedia's definition
I have a little question.. The numbers under where it says what Guild you're in.. How do you earn them? Like e.g For mystics it has the little crystals and numbers underneath
Has that got anything to do with this? Or, is that a moderator thing?
Location: Sipping tea in the realms of speculation
Also, I don't know about the other guilds, but in the Mystics' private board there's a sticky thread on all the different ways you can earn crystals. The webpage (it's linked to on the info pages Min showed ^ ) also mentions some ways.
It will be. Points for multimedia, fanfiction, library, etc, are contributed manually by the contact of the section. So, if you submitted to the Multimedia gallery, Avvy will keep a record of it.
The cheesecakes, eggs, crystals and elephants are awarded by each guild to its own guildmembers. There's a thread in our Dreamweaver board that you can ask for the tally for eggs and acorns (that's our reward system, the others are for the different guilds) to be put in your profile under your name (like mine). You can then read all about how to earn them here and start working towards getting some!
When you earn points they will go into our guild tally that you can see here under Pointage in the toolbar on the left. When you enter a competition they will tell you how many points you are earning for entering and later on they will post the winners and that will say who got how many points. (And once you know this, you can go apply for the egg for getting points!)
The only difference is at moonfair (a big event full of competitions and games we run in Sepember and October) the pointage all ends up in one HUGE long announcement once all the judges are finished judging.
Hope that helps. If you have any more questions about the Dreamweaver eggs feel free to ask about them on the Dreamweaver board
what does it mean by submit a signature? where do you submit one? and does it have to be a certain type, by that i mean, does it have to involve obernewtyn? or can you put up your BOTY sigs?? or swine flu sigs?
The signatures are in the Gallery, in the Personalise section. The Personalise section is intended to share signatures, wallpapers, and avatars that you've made that you'd be happy to let other members use, so it's best if they're something that remains relevant. As new members join, they won't know what the swine flu sigs are about. And given that BOTY only runs for such a short period each year, I imagine it would make more sense if those sigs are not submitted to the Gallery. It's probably easiest to keep copies in your Photobucket, so you can bring them out again next year.
To submit signatures to the Gallery, it's best to do it from the page itself, in this case the Signature subsection of Personalise. Then you just go down to the bottom and click on the Submit Media link, and it will take you to the screen where you choose your images and give them titles (and descriptions if you wish to do so). Hope that clears up your confusion!
