Please feel free to move this thread to wherever it is most suitable

As so many people from outside Australia have asked where to get certain IC books from, I though it may be a good idea to list those books available in certain countries. For the UK and US I'm using Amazon as a reference, so its easier for people to order them if they want to

Canada
I'm assuming that the publishing situation in Canada is the same as the US. If it isn't then please let me know

Australia/New Zealand
As far as I am aware nearly all of IC's books are in print. I'm hoping one of our many Aussie/NZ members can provide a list for those countries

There are probably a few books that I may have missed from this list. Please let me know if this is the case and i will add them

It's suitable here Thanks guys. Maybe we can make this a hugely comprehensive list and sticky it?

For Aussies, while most of IC's books aren't in every book store, you can most certainly order them from any of your book stores.

...shucks

It's time for your treatment, seeeeriously.

Wow the price differences are huge...even with the exchange rate it seems that us Aussies are paying much more for the books. Great lists though.

I might just add that the Paradise bookshop, 77 Great Ocean Road, Apollo Bay, sells autographed copies of IC'c books. I'm sure they would do mail order if you were interested. cheers

Thanks for the Aussie list ElspethInnle. There were some books on your list that i'd missed, so i've checked them and added them to the UK/US lists.

That was my eventual plan. Once the list is comprehensive and complete, we could maybe check say once every few months and keep it updated? I'm not too worried about keeping the prices current, as those on Amazon could change fairly frequently. However, as books come in and out of print, we can make ammendments as necessary

Stickying this thread would be great if someone could do so. Thanks

Is there some way of contacting the publisher to request a reprint? Or how about asking IC when she is here? I would love a copy as well.

I know. I adore it too.
When it first went out of print I nosed around to see what I could find to try and get a few copies for whoever here wanted one, but I couldn't get a hold of any from most of my usual places and people, and the pnes I could get were really expensive.
I guess people hold on to their copies.
It might be worth me having another snoop now, though. Just after something goes out of print isn't really the ideal tiem to look for it.

I've only seen Alyzon Whitestarr, the original Obernewtyn and Scatterlings in shops here in New Zealand... libraries are pretty good for them but it looks like they bought ALL of them. Hehe.

I have the Landlord. It's a young reader book she wrote as part of the After Dark series. From what I understand, The Red Shoes is a short junior fiction novella she wrote that is an extension of, or another take on her short story in Green Monkey Dreams. But I was too young to have enough spending money when it was in print, and I haven't come across it at a decent price second hand yet so I'm not entirely sure. Maybe one of the other older members, or a lucky younger one knows more.

Oops, I missed This Way Out. It's reprint under consideration. WHich means they might reprint it. But it's been marked as RUC for months now, so don't hold your breath.

Oh, and in regards to The Wrong Thing on the Uk and USA lists it's actually The Magic Night. For some reason they renamed it for the overseas markets.

Can anyone supply a list of publishers worldwide? So far I can only say Penguin Australia and Tor Books with certainty...

Our Penguin rep came through yesterday. The Stone Key is officially on their November NR list, which means that stores should receive it in the last week of October. So the 29th is pretty much the date to go by, but if you're not receiving a call about it, you might want to check in on the thursday (25th) or friday (26th).

Yeah, you can't get it over here, which totally sucks!
I got mine from the Australian Online Bookshop, and I think I remember DO saying he's used them too. Shipping is usually super fast, and prices aren't toooo bad with the exchange rate.

Good luck with your search

Yep, thats the one i used.

I ordered the fourth book from them and the 3rd book from Amazon on the same day, and the book from Australia arrived first!
